The filing period for candidates interested in running for the Alaska Legislature closed last week with three Kodiak men seeking to replace Representative Gabrielle LeDoux in House District 36. They are Republican Allan Austerman and Democrats Andy Lundquist and Dave Kaplan.
Today we begin a series of interviews with the candidates, starting with Andy Lundquist.
Lundquist has lived in Kodiak for more than 25 years, has been a CPA, and for more than 20 years, was the proprietor of Tony’s Bar. He’s now retired, which, as he tells KMXT’s Jay Barrett, is why he now has time to devote to other interests.
Interviews with the other two candidates in the District 36 race, Dave Kaplan and Allan Austerman, will air Thursday and Friday.
