The Kodiak High School Bears continued their post-bye week stumble Friday evening at Joe Floyd Field, getting beat by the Houston Hawks 10-to-7. The loss, the Bears’ third in a row, drops the team’s record to 3-and-2 in the Northern Lights conference, and 4-and-3 overall. In the three losses since the bye-week, the Bears have been outscored 72-to-7. Soldotna beat Kenai 50-to-nothing over the weekend, so the Bears finish in second place in the NLC and will host a first round game against the third seed from the Greatland Conference. That game with the Nikiski Bulldogs will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Joe Floyd Field.
