What flies at 100 mph through the night fog? Swims underwater but builds it’s nest inland on inhospitable slopes? Lays a single gigantic egg among cold rocks? It’s the Kittlitz’s Murrelet, a rare seabird first spotted in the Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge in 2006. On this edition of Talk of the Rock Join host Diana Gish as she speaks with James Lawonn and Owen Baughman, who spent their summer studying this most unusual creature.

Want to learn more and see photos of the Kittlitz’s Murrelet? Join James Lawonn tonight (Wed. Sept. 8) at 7 p.m. for this week’s "Wildlife Wednesday" lecture at the Kodiak National Wildlife Visitor’s Center.
