Coming up this week, it looks like there’ll be lower harvest limits for Prince William Sound black cod; we hear about cchanges coming up for the groundfish and halibut observer program, and everything that’s old is new again – well, insofar as an ancient mollusk in the Arctic Ocean is concerned. All that and more, coming up on the Alaska Fisheries Report.

We had help this week from KCHU’s Marcia Lynn in Valdez, KBBI’s Shady Grove Oliver in Homer and APRN’s Josh Edge in Anchorage, and we’ve had tons of help in 2014 from: Liz Ruskin, Dave Bendinger, Joe Viechnicki, Annie Ropeik, Rachel Waldholz, Monica Gokey, Tom Banse, Lauren Rosenthal, Ed Shoenfeld, John Sackton, Lori Townsend, Ben Matheson, Angela Denning, Margaret Friedenauer, Matt Miller, Daysha Eaton, Rich McClearn, Katarina Sostaric, Emily Schwing, Robert Woolsey, Greta Mart, Steve Heimel, Shaylon Cochran, Lisa Phu, Matthew Smith, Elizabeth Jenkins, Leila Kheiry, Megan Pedersen, Zacharia Hughes, Alexandra Gutierrez, Thea Card, Casey Kelly, Emily Foreman, Charles Enoch, Phillip Manning, and Quinton Chandler.

We also want to thank our underwriters, who make it possible to send you the Alaska Fisheries Report each week: Alaska Boats and Permits, Alaska Marine Safety Education Association, Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, Commercial Fishermen for Bristol Bay, Conoco Phillips and the Kodiak Area Native Association.

From KMXT in Kodiak the Alaska Fisheries Report wishes you a safe and happy new year.
