Coming up this week, the FDA has given the OK to a fast-growing, gene-spliced Atlantic salmon, something Alaska’s fishermen and politicians have been fighting for decades. We hear a Nushagak fisherman lament farmed salmon in song, and, they’re training up the next generation of cannery bosses in Kodiak, all coming up on this Thanksgiving week edition of the Alaska Fisheries Report.
