Beyond the Cover Feature: Local Kodiak Author G. William Yngve (Glenn Yngve).
Glenn moved to Kodiak in 1973 after graduating Harvard and after some decades fishing, decided to author a trilogy of murder mysteries. The first, "A Cold Dark Place to Die" is available for sale online and at the Kodiak Public Library and Cost Savers. Glenn discusses this book, the characters – and who they are based on, and the importance of it being set in Alaska. He even describes the Pillar Mountain Golf Classic that used to take place in Kodiak and how it made it into his book. The second in the trilogy, "Double, Double, Oil & Trouble, is available on Amazon Kindle, with the third, "A Shot of Arsenic Please, with a Plutonium Back" being released soon to Amazon. Glenn created his own publishing company, Alaska Blue Publishing to release these books, and tells us why he decided to self-publish and what he thinks about selling through Amazon Kindle.
