Friday is deadline to let university president know what you think of restructuring plans

The University of Alaska Board of Regents are in the process of restructuring the statewide system and would like to get feedback from interested Alaskans.

Kodiak College Interim Director Betty Walters said there is an online survey where local residents can let the University president, the Board of Regents and its various working committees know what they think about possible changes to the university and its programs.

“The president is seeking information from many, and particularly from the public, the students, the faculty, and staff. They are important. And they are the ones that are the users of the university.

However, the clock is running down. The deadline for the survey is the end of this week.

“Many people have seen it and hopefully have completed it, but there’s still time. The last day for that survey is Friday. So anyone that’s listening at this point in time, if they would complete that survey it would really be a help to the president.”

The survey says it will take about 10-15 minutes to  complete.

In related news, the Kodiak Campus began its fall semester this week and Walters said there is still time to enroll in classes.

KMXT will host a special Friday Edition of Talk of the Rock this week which focuses on the college, the upcoming semester, and late registration for courses.

That’s Friday at 12:30 just after the Mid-Day Report.
