Kodiak Public Broadcasting Statement concerning Equal Opportunity Employment
It is the general policy of KPBC to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. No employee or applicant for a position shall be appointed, promoted, or in any way discriminated against because of age, race, sex, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or any other legally protected characteristic.
The General Manager of KPBC is responsible for managing KPBC’s Equal Opportunity Employment Program and is responsible for filing all required reports concerning KPBC’s EOE procedures with the FCC.
Currently our stations are exempt from filing an EEO report due to fact we have less than 5 full-time employees working for the Corporation. We do, however, still operate under an EOE policy in regards to hiring part-time staff and in regard to doing community outreach. For more information about our employment practices the public is encouraged to contact the station and speak with the General Manager.
