Kodiak Benny Benson State Airport loses power for second time in three weeks

Kodiak Electric Association experienced a major power outage yesterday that affected the Kodiak Benny Benson State Airport, the Coast Guard Base, Bell’s Flats, and out the road system to Chiniak and Pasagshak.  The outage occurred at about 2:00 PM. Senate Agriculture committee’s ranking member visits Kodiak to talk fisheries and farms

Alaska’s senators brought Sen. John Boozman of Arkansas to Kodiak this week. Kodiak Pacific Spaceport Complex hosts tours for first time since pandemic

The Kodiak Pacific Spaceport Complex on Narrow Cape held an open house on Aug. 14. Tours included showing the public Alaska Aerospace’s laboratories and launch sites.
