Small Quake Shakes Kodiak Sunday Morning

After Community Outcry, Landfill Rezoning Postponed

Brianna Gibbs/KMXT During Thursday’s regular meeting, the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly decided to postpone a vote on a rezoning ordinance for the Kodiak landfill. Arlluk Refloated, Cause of Sinking Still Unkown

Brianna Gibbs/KMXT On Saturday, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Detachment salvaged a vessel that sank early Friday morning in St. Herman Harbor.
