Peterson and Laukitis’ Nominations Confirmed to NPFMC

The U.S. Secretary of Commerce announced Monday the appointment of 19 new and returning members to the eight regional fishery management councils around the country that advise the National Marine Fisheries Service. One New Face Among Three NPFMC Appointments

Jay Barrett/KMXT Two Alaskans were re-appointed, and a Washington State man was named to the North Pacific Fishery Management Council Monday. The announcements were made by Sam Rauch, deputy assistant administrator for NOAA Fisheries. Dan Hull and Ed Dersham, both of Anchorage, were reappointed to designated Alaskan seats on the council, while Craig Cross was appointed to a Washington-designated seat. …
