MDA Calls Friday Launch A Success

A target missile launched from Narrow Cape in Kodiak was part of a successful system-wide test completed Friday, according to a press release issued by the Missile Defense Agency.

The target was launched at 1:47 p.m. local time and was tracked by numerous sites participating in the exercise, including a temporarily placed X-Band radar near Juneau, a U.S. Navy destroyer, a floating X-band platform in the Pacific Ocean, and radar and interceptor facilities located in Colorado and California.
