At Thursday night’s Kodiak Island Borough Assembly work session, KMXT’s Erik Wander had a chance to ask assembly members what they thought about finally seeing the new wind turbines standing atop Pillar Mountain.
Each member of the assembly expressed their reactions to the turbines and thoughts about what Kodiak Electric Association’s wind power project means to Kodiak.
Although the turbines are now in place, and can occasionally be seen turning, more work remains to be done before they can be put into service generating electricity.
