The Kodiak Bears are still alive in the State Championship Softball Tournament in Anchorage. They battled back this afternoon against the Homer Mariners in a loser-out game to contine tournament play Saturday morning.
The Bears trailed 7-to-1 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but rallied to win the game in the bottom of the sixth, 8-to-7. The tournament games have a time limit, so there was no seventh inning.
The Bears went to the losers bracket with a 7-6 loss to Ketchikan this morning.
