Challenge Filed Over Threshold Contract

At the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly’s regular meeting last week, a contract was awarded to Threshold for recycling services in Kodiak. Before it was approved, Assemblywoman Louise Stutes raised questions about the language and the fairness of the contract. By the end of the meeting Threshold’s $281,540 contract was approved and signed.

By Friday morning a motion to re-consider the contract was filed by Stutes and Assemblywoman Judy Fulp.

KMXT’s Diana Gish spoke with Stutes about the re-consideration and her opposition to the contract.
