Its not easy to grow things on a rock and any Kodiak gardener will tell you the same. That’s why the Kodiak Garden club is eager to share their growing accomplishments by hosting a garden tour this weekend. Unless you’ve been on one in Kodiak before, you may need to re-think your image of what a garden tour is like.
KMXT’s Diana Gish spoke with Kodiak Garden Club president Patty Holmes to find out more:

The Kodiak Garden Club’s annual tour takes place this weekend, August 8th and 9th. Saturday’s tour is in the city of Kodiak and out to Monashka Bay . Sunday’s tour is of gardens in Bell’s Flats. Both tours start at 1 pm and end at 4. Maps to the gardens are available at the Kodiak High School parking lot beginning at noon on Saturday.
