If it were up to Angela Bowling, people everywhere would start talking about domestic violence. The outreach coordinator for the Kodiak Women’s Resource and Crisis Center wants to break the silence with education and dialogue. October is domestic violence awareness month and Bowling is taking every opportunity to spread the word.

KMXT’s Diana Gish spoke with her about the issue that affects one out of every four women.

This Friday KWRCC is conducting a domestic violence awareness vigil at 5:30 p.m. at Saint James Episcopal Church at 421 Thorsheim.
