An FAA spokeswoman has offered a response to concerns about recent developments in the plan to upgrade the runway at the Kodiak Airport. A week ago an early version of the agency’s environmental impact statement , or E-I-S, was released on a limited basis. Members of Kodiak’s state park citizen’s advisory board were alarmed when they were denied access to the document.

FAA’s Leslie Grey spoke with KMXT’s Diana Gish about the publication; the document known as the "Preliminary draft environmental impact statement for the proposed runway safety area improvements at the Kodiak Airport."

The website for the Kodiak airport environmental statement is kodiak airport e-i-s dot com.
