At last week’s Kodiak Island Borough Assembly meeting the assembly heard from local residents concerned about the proposed curbside trash pick-up plan.

While the plan is still under discussion and was not on the agenda of the regular meeting, its clear that the issue is on the minds of many people.

The following are excerpts of some of the comments the assembly heard on Thursday. The first speaker was Marsha Oswalt.

(Trash "My first concern …of the contract.")

The curbside trash pick-up plan will be discussed at the assembly’s next work session which will be held at 7:30 p.m. on .
