This first week in February concludes with another activity-packed weekend in Kodiak. One of the most unusual events taking place is the staging of an interactive, "murder mystery" game by Hope Community Resources. The Friday night benefit is planned to promote fun and funds.

Hope Community Resources state-wide Development Director Ginger Jackson is in town from Anchorage to support the event and the local Hope chapter.

Jackson explained how the idea came about:

(Murder Mystery 2 "We did a … the Kodiak Community.")

So what happens at an interactive Murder Mystery dinner party? According to Jackson there’s some role-playing by a group of Kodiak folks, some great food and a lot of fun. The rest is, of course, a "mystery."

(Murder Mystery 3 "Someone is going … cake for dessert.")

In addition to providing entertainment, the proceeds from the dinner go directly to help some Kodiak residents.

(Murder Mystery 4 "Hope Community resources … sort of things.")

Hope Community Resources’ Murder-Mystery night will take place at 6 o’clock on Friday at the Kodiak Convention Center. Tickets are available on-line at Hope Alaska-dot-org and at Mill Bay Coffee and Pastries. As an added bonus, Chef Joel is offering a free cup of coffee with every ticket purchase.
