This weekend Kodiak College plays host to its first Tagalog language film festival. One of the festival organizers is Dr.Jared Griffin, assistant professor and English Department chairman.
He talked to KMXT’s Diana Gish about this weekend’s event:
— (Tagalog Films "You run the … theme and content.")
Griffin said he’s looking for feedback on this weekend’s event. He hopes to hear from the community about this film festival along with ideas for future ones.
The Tagalog film festival takes place this weekend in room 128 at Kodiak College starting Friday at 6 p.m. That movie will be followed by another at 8:30 p.m . On Saturday the festival resumes with a family film showing at 3 p.m. followed by two more movies for mature audiences. All of the movies are free and sponsored by Kodiak College Student Government and Community Engagement Committee.
As an added bonus, Griffin says that the movies will be available to check out from the Kodiak College Library for the week following the festival.
