Local Wells Fargo Employees Supporting Special Olympics

Wells Fargo Bank in Alaska announced last week that it has raised $400,000 statewide for non-profit corporations. Stephanie Garrard is the contributions manager for Wells Fargo Alaska. She said here in Kodiak, employees raised $3,375 for Special Olympics, which was matched dollar-for-dollar by the company for a total of $6,750.

She said the fundraising program is run in conjunction with the United Way:

Garrard said that despite the economic downturn, Wells Fargo’s employee and company contributions went up this year:

Last year, Wells Fargo and its Kodiak employees raised $6,500 for new computers at the Kodiak Senior Center.
