The state has released how many donations Alaska non-profit organizations have received so far in the Permanent Fund Dividend’s "Pick Click Give" program. Ten Kodiak organizations received 187 contributions. Statewide, 12,947 contributions were made, totaling 815,000-dollars.
Dollar amounts for each organization were not revealed, but that number should be available in the fall, just before the PFDs are distributed.
The Humane Society of Kodiak received 45 donations. Kodiak Women’s Resource and Crisis Center got 31, and the Kodiak Public Library Association received 29. Other organizations in town to benefit from the program include the Alutiiq Museum, Kodiak Public Broadcasting, Kodiak Arts Council, Kodiak Maritime Museum, the Baranov Museum, the senior center and Kodiak College. Check our web site, KMXT dot org, for the complete list with number of contributions.
Though the deadline has passed for filing for an Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend, those who filed electronically may still make a contribution to Pick Click Give until May 31st. The option is available to anyone who tried unsuccessfully to donate when the system had problems in January, or those who would like to make additional donations.
