Some of the vendors at ComFish come to Kodiak year after year to hawk their goods and meet face to face with fishermen.

One of those returnees was Susan Chesney who sells ads for National Fisherman magazine.

(Fish Mag 1 "We have an … for our magazine.")

She said that one of the benefits of coming to ComFish is hearing what the readers think.

(Fish Mag 2 "We’ve gotten a … used to be.")

Chesney thinks that the magazine offers a unique perspective because it’s geared towards fisheries all across the country.

(Fish Mag 3 "So the challenges …managing the fisheries.")

National Fisherman originated as part of the Belfast Republican Journal, a Maine newspaper that was started in 1921. The magazine had been a presence at ComFish for nearly a decade.

(Fish Mag 4 "Well, I really … feedback is wonderful.")

ComFish 2010 ended Saturday in Kodiak.
