KODIAK, Alaska – Coast Guard base Kodiak firefighters conduct training at the base May 4, 2010, to stay current on training qual- ifications and proficiencies in order tobe efficient and effectivein any type of emergency situation. The 32 firefighters stationed in Kodiak are in such close proximity to the base, they are the primary response unit for aircraft response.
