That complete power outage at 3:31 yesterday (Sunday) afternoon resulted from a problem on Kodiak’s waterfront.
Kodiak Electric Association spokeswoman Nancy B. Sweeney said a fault on the distribution line to the cannery from Shelikof Street to Gibson Cove cut off power for customers system-wide. She had no further details as to the cause. Power was restored to all customers within 15 minutes.
