The Kodiak High School Bears baseball postseason is over. The Bears lost to the West Anchorage Eagles this (Friday) morning 12-to-1 in a consolation bracket game at the state championship tournament in Palmer. The game was shortened by the 10-run mercy rule.

The Bears lost 19-0 in opening-round action last night against the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears, who no-hit Kodiak through a mercy-rule-shortened five-inning game.

Juneau will play against Fairbanks West Valley, and Sitka will play defending state champion Dimond in semifinal action today.
