Former Sen. Ted Stevens Dies in Plane Crash

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) – The family of former Sen. TedStevens says the longtime Republican lawmaker has been killed in a plane crash in Alaska. Authorities say five of the nine people aboard were killed when the plane went down in remote southwestern Alaska. Former NASA chief Sean O’Keefe was also believed to be aboard, but it’s unclear whether he was among the dead.
