Larsen Bay Running on Diesel After Hydro Plant Goes Down

Power is back on in Larsen Bay this afternoon after the local hydro plant shut down on Wednesday.

City Clerk Alice Aga said the problem is believed to be a faulty transformer. Power was restored to most of the village and houses this (Friday) afternoon. They are now running on the community diesel generator, and Aga says several residents have their own generators.
