Non-Functioning $20K LED Sign Frustrates School Administration

For over a year, the digital LED sign outside Kodiak High School has only functioned sporadically. School Superintendent Stewart MacDonald updated the school board at its Monday evening meeting, telling them it continues to malfunction, and he had it turned off.

MacDonald was polite in expressing his frustration with the company that made the sign, Robson Corporation of Sarasota, Florida:

About half the funds for the roughly $20,000 sign came from the school district, with the rest from the student council and local fraternal organizations..
