In a special meeting Thursday night, the Kodiak City Council approved a contract with a public relations company to fight an upcoming ballot initiative that would allow city workers to explore unionization.
Council members voted 4 to 0 to authorize a contract with the Anchorage-based PR firm Bradley-Reid and Associates. Ballot Proposition Number 1 will appear on the October 5th Municipal Election ballot.
