Nomination forms for prospective board members have gone out to more than 300 members of the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce. Three seats are up for election. Longtime board member Mike Terry has served two consecutive three-year terms and cannot run again because of term limits. Fellow board member Jack Johnson has declined to run for re-election, while incumbent board member Bob Brodie has indicated his intention to run for another term.

That’s all according to the chamber’s Executive Director Trevor Brown who says it’s too early to tell whether the election will be contentious.

Forms for prospective nominees were emailed Thursday afternoon with a January 10th the cut-off date.

— (chamber 2 :15 "We will put all … on February 19th.")

The forms include a short questionnaire with candidates asked about their views on what projects and activities the chamber should be involved in as well as the candidate’s vision for the Kodiak economy in the next decade.
