Neva Egan, Alaska’s first First Lady, passed away Wednesday night at 9:40 p.m. at the Juneau Pioneer Home. She was 96.
Former first lady Neva Egan died in the Juneau Pioneer home at the age of 96 Wednesday night. Her husband Bill was a Valdez grocer who became the state’s first governor. Rosemarie Alexander at KTOO found an interview recorded with Neva Egan at the age of 90, and has the story:
