Police are asking for any witnesses to Saturday night’s fatal collision that killed a 64-year-old pedestrian to come forward. Angela Cabrera Saculles of Kodiak was killed after being hit by a car at about 7:22 p.m. on Mill Bay Road.

Saculles was treated on the scene by city firefighters and transported to Kodiak Island Medical Center but efforts to resuscitate were unsuccessful.

No charges have been filed and police say foul play is not suspected. But an investigation is pending.

Mill Bay Road was shut down for about two hours to traffic from both directions at the scene of the accident near the intersection of Ole Johnson Avenue.

Police have already questioned the driver of the car that hit Saculles. No charges have been filed as the investigation is ongoing. Police Chief T.C. Kamai said Monday that another vehicle was believed to have been in the area and investigators would like to interview its occupants because they may have witnessed the collision.
