A fugitive wanted by the Kodiak Police Department in connection with a vicious assault earlier this month has been apprehended in Homer. Robert G. Galvan, age 23, is suspected in biting another man’s upper lip off during an early-morning fight downtown almost two weeks ago.

In a written statement, the Kodiak Police say an anonymous tip led them to where Galvan was hiding. With the assistance of the Alaska State Troopers and the Homer Police Department, Galvan was located and arrested without incident yesterday (Wednesday).

Galvan was wanted for multiple arrest warrants stemming from a felony assault which occurred in Kodiak on March 19th. Galvan will be brought to Kodiak to face assault charges.
