Nearly 50 teenagers from across Alaska and the Yukon Territory gathered in Kodiak last week to learn how to be good leaders.
The event was part of the Rotary International’s Youth Leadership Awards and was sponsored by Kodiak’s two Rotary clubs.
RYLA teaches teens the qualities of a good leader including team-building, problem solving and personal development.
When KMXT’s Maggie Wall caught up with them at Camp Woody, they had already had several days of training together and were eager to get back to their schools to put into practice all the things they’d learned-including the things they’d learned about themselves.
