One of the annual events on Memorial Day during Crab Fest is the blessing of the fleet. Though it hasn’t seen the participation in years past, nearly a dozen watercraft, from kayaks to limit seiners, participated this year. The boat procession was blessed by Father Innocent Dresdow at Pier 1 Monday afternoon. Afterwards, the fishing vessel Raven took the wreath with the names of those lost at sea in the past year and set it adrift offshore.
