Nearly 1-Million Cruise Visitors Expected in Alaska

Alaska’s cruise season is well underway. Ships small and large have been plying the waters of Alaska for about a month now. Cruise lines bring close to 900,000 passengers to the state each year, many of whom continue on to Anchorage and communities to the west and north.

CoastAlaska’s Ed Schoenfeld checked in with the industry for a look at the summer’s prospects. He starts out in Petersburg.
