ACS Outage Affects High-Speed Internet Users

ACS Internet users in Kodiak found they couldn’t get on the web Wednesday following an overnight service outage. ACS spokeswoman Heather Cavanaugh said the outage affected the entire Kodiak system and lasted more than 11 hours.

Technicians are still working to determine the cause of the outage, but know that it did originate on the island. Kavanaugh says sometimes the need for parts or the weather plays a big role in how long a Kodiak-based outage lasts.
