Yesterday the Department of Revenue released their list of non-profit organizations that will be participating in 2012’s Pick.Click.Give. program. The program allows Permanent Fund Dividend recipients to donate as little as $25 and up to the entire amount of their PFD check.

While contributions from Pick.Click.Give. don’t make up a large portion of their budget, Executive Director for the Kodiak Arts Council, Tom Quass, says the money does make a difference.

Quass says that they’ve received at least three times the donations this year than in 2009 when the program first began. He says just being on Pick.Click.Give.’s list of organizations has been good publicity.

This year over 18,000 Alaskans gave nearly $1.6 million through the program. There are currently over 400 programs on the list, 11 of them based in Kodiak. They are: Alaska Marine Conservation Council, Alutiiq Museum, Baranov Museum, Hope Community Resources, Humane Society, Island Trails Network, Kodiak Arts Council, Kodiak Maritime Museum, Kodiak Public Broadcasting (KMXT), Kodiak Public Library Association, and The Salvation Army.
