The architects hired to draw up plans for a new Kodiak public library are back in town to show some conceptual designs based on input they received a few weeks ago on a previous visit.

Paul Voelkers is the president of MRV Architects in Juneau. His firm is responsible for the design of the library in Haines, which just a few years ago was voted the best small library in the nation. He said elements of that library’s design went over very well with the Kodiak audience the last time he was here.

There will be at least two opportunities to meet with Voelkers about the design. There will be a gathering in the borough assembly chambers Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m., and at the A. Holmes Johnson Memorial Library Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
