Kodiak AFN Delegation Keeps Eye on Subsistence Issues

Saturday was the third and final day of the Alaska Federation of Natives convention that was held in Anchorage. KMXT’s Jennifer Canfield spoke with Melissa Borton who is the administrator for the Native Village of Afognak and also on the Kodiak Island Borough School Board. Resolutions are discussed and voted on during the final hours of the convention. Borton says that the Kodiak region didn’t put forward any this year, but delegates from the area paid special attention to resolutions concerning subsistence.
