The next step in Kodiak getting a new public library will take place Wednesday night when the architects hired to design the building come to town to gather public input. Paul Converse, who is on the board of directors for the Kodiak Public Library Association, says it’s a chance to have a say in how the museum will reflect the community.

(Library 1 32 sec "Yeah, the city recently hired … for the new library.")

He said MRV had done a conceptual design when the project was in an earlier stage:

(Library 2 16 sec "MRV assisted us … on top of borough hill there.")

The meeting tomorrow night will be a chance for the public to weigh in on what image of the community the library should reflect and how it should "feel."

(Library 3 34 sec "What they’re going to do … how the library appears.")

The meeting will be tomorrow night from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Teen Center downtown behind the current library.
