KMXT 100.1 FM Public Radio in Kodiak, Alaska
The Fishing Industrial Technology Center will host a training at the end of this month to help commercial fishermen learn more about their onboard refrigeration systems and how to maintain them. Torie Baker is with the Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program, the organization which developed the training along with Integrated Marine Systems, a refrigerator manufacturer.
The training has been attended by over 200 fishermen since 2005.
The one-day workshop, on November 29th, will teach fishermen how to maintain, operate and troubleshoot their onboard refrigeration systems. Contact the Marine Advisory Program in Kodiak for more information.
