Soldiers with the Alaska National Guard recently returned from maneuvers in Germany. Staff Sergeant Jay Baldwin is with the National Guard unit in Kodiak.
He said the scale of the maneuvers was exceptionally large, and involved several other countries.
The training his men received during the exercises in Germany will come in handy for a handful of local National Guardsmen, who Baldwin says will soon be going overseas:
Baldwin said full time National Guard staff will not be deploying.
