Library, Fisheries Consultant on City Work Session Agenda

Jennifer Canfield/KMXT

The Kodiak City Council will meet tonight for a work session. On the agenda is an update from the architects about the new library, discussion about the fisheries analyst contract and the council will determine when or if they will meet in December.

The council and the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly agreed to draw up a tentative contract for the proposed fisheries analyst position at the October 25th special meeting held to interview candidate Denby Lloyd. Lloyd is the only applicant for the position. Though local government has yet to officially decide if they will actually create the fisheries analyst position, comments from elected officials and the public have been mostly favorable.
