Biologist Develops Stock Collapse Prediction Method

A former Kodiak biologist who has continued to work on fisheries projects here even after moving away, may have found a method that could help fisheries managers predict stock collapses before they happen. Mike Litzow, who sailed with his family to Australia four years ago, says the research he’s been a part of indicates a pattern of instability can be seen leading up to a collapse.
