On today’s show we’ll be discussing Russian Christmas and New Year, the history of the church in Kodiak and what it means to be a part of the church. Our guests today are Father Paisius and Father Michael from St. Innocent’s, Katie Oliver from the Baranov Museum and Sven Haakanson from the Alutiiq Museum.

Rusian Christmas is this Saturday, January 7th and the New Year is on January 14th. The Alutiiq Museum will be hosting carolers from the Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Church for Christmas. Refreshments will be provided and the event is open to the public. The time has yet to be announced. You can contact the museum for more information.
