Kodiak runner Trevor Dunbar will be competing in the Husky Classic tonight in Seattle. It’s his second event as an Oregon Duck, after jumping from the University of Portland late last year.
Dunbar, a junior, will compete in the 5,000 meter race, which is about three miles. His father Marcus says Trevor is hoping to run it in under 13-minutes 44-seconds, which is the automatic qualifying time for NCAA Division 1 events. The event is being held in the University of Washington’s Dempsey Indoor Facility, described as the fastest indoor track in the nation.
The race is at 4:50 this afternoon, and can be watched live online at Flotrack.com.
