NASA Contracts with Afognak Subsidiary

Alutiiq 3SG, LLC has been awarded a 5-year contract with NASA’s Langley Research Center for just over $8.5 million. Alutiiq is a subsidiary of the Afognak Native Corporation.

According to a press release, the Alaska Native Corporation will provide "transportation and delivery services, vehicle and equipment maintenance and fleet management, shipping and receiving, materials management and warehousing, equipment management, property disposal, and bonded and controlled stores and tool room support."

The new contract rounds out a diverse portfolio for Alutiiq, which includes federal security training, bioenergy systems, logistics, oilfield and IT services.

The Langley Research Center is the oldest of NASA’s field centers. It focuses mostly on aeronautical and space research. In 2009 it had an annual budget of $759 million.
